KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley junior
Jillian Fidler is eighth overall to lead the women's golf team after the first round of action at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship at the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown.
York College of Pennsylvania tops the field after the first round with a score of 322. The Spartans have four of the top five golfers in the field, led by Victoria Jolakian, who carded a six-over 78 on the course. Her teammate, Grace Strickland, is second with a 79. Stevenson University is second with a score of 357. Hood College is third at 366, Alvernia University has three in the top 10 to sit fourth at 391, and Arcadia University rounds out the top five with a 399. The Dutchmen carded a 439 to sit in seventh place, just seven strokes back of Eastern University in sixth.
Inside the Results
- Fidler is eighth in the field of 50 with an 85. The junior had a strong front nine with a four-over 39 before recording a 46 on the back nine. She had nine pars for the round, including six on the first eight holes.
- Alexa Pridham is 28th with a 108 after the first round. She had one par on the eighth hole and carded a 47 on the front nine. The senior finished with a 61 on the back nine.
- Leela Nemani carded a 122 to sit in 38th place. The sophomore had a 59 on the front nine and a 63 on the back nine. She recorded a par on the third hole.
- Anna Tokle is tied for 40th with a 124. She recorded a 57 on the front nine and a 67 on the back nine.
The Dutchmen will look to move up the leaderboard on Sunday with the final round of the Championships teeing off at 10 a.m. in Kutztown.
