Dutchmen Men’s Lacrosse Ready for Upcoming Season

2/9/2026 3:45:00 PM

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's lacrosse team is prepared for a successful 2026 campaign. The Dutchmen are scheduled to play 17 games this spring, including nine home games at Arnold Field.

Lebanon Valley recorded seven victories with two wins against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponents last year, and the team will look to build on these marks in the upcoming season. Going into 2026, the Flying Dutchmen are ranked fifth out of eight teams with 24 points in the MAC Freedom Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Preseason Poll.

"I'm excited, I think we've got a really good team," Head Coach John Haus said. "We have a good mix of upperclassmen and a really strong first-year class. We've improved in certain areas where we needed to, and we should be a better faceoff team this year. Offensively, I think we're as athletic as we've been at the midfield position. I also believe the key for our team to be successful will be at the defensive end of the field."

The Dutchmen are bringing back 28 players from last season's roster, who are joined by nine first-year players and one transfer student-athlete. The group of returners is led by junior midfielder Ethan Keenan, who was a 2025 All-MAC Freedom honoree. Keenan led LVC players with eight man-up goals, while ranking third with 27 goals and 34 points.

Lebanon Valley's offensive unit also includes senior midfielder Hayden Carling, who is returning after a season in which he was third on the team with 11 assists and ranked fifth with 20 points, scoring nine goals in the process. Graduate student midfielder Jacob Mrose will be a key contributor as well, as he is coming off a 2025 campaign in which he was fifth on the team with six assists, while recording five goals and 11 points. Additionally, senior midfielder Dylan Rinyak is coming back after missing last season due to an injury. In 2024, he had 11 points with three goals and eight assists.

The Flying Dutchmen are returning several other key players at the attack position, including senior attacker Sean Poole. He ranked fifth on the squad with 13 goals while tallying five assists and 18 points in 2025. Junior attacker Rowan Myers will aim to continue his success as well, following a sophomore campaign where he registered 15 points with 12 goals and three assists. Lebanon Valley will also look to senior attacker Trevor Moore and sophomore attacker Sam Spagnuolo to contribute offensively. Additionally, sophomore attacker Ryan Grace is joining LVC after transferring from Stevenson University. LVC will work to gain possession for its offense by winning faceoffs, and these duties will be handled by first-year midfielders Connor Rowe and Ishmael Bolorin.

Defensively, junior defender Sheadan Makosy will play an integral role after ranking sixth in the conference with 21 caused turnovers, while leading the Dutchmen with 55 ground balls last spring. Makosy is also a former All-MAC Freedom honoree, as he earned this recognition in 2024. The Flying Dutchmen will depend on junior Nick Gleason as well, following a year in which he ranked fourth on the team with eight caused turnovers and had 22 ground balls. Senior defender Jacob LaRue is also prepared to deliver a strong season, after logging 14 ground balls and tying for fifth on LVC with six caused turnovers as a junior. Additionally, Lebanon Valley will rely on senior defenders Branden Manderbach and Owen Cummins, along with sophomore defender Connor Sample. Furthermore, sophomore midfielder Montgomery Sensenig, senior midfielder Jack Capone, and first-year midfielder Connor Mulada will all make an impact on the defensive end. Sensenig is coming off a debut campaign in which he recorded 18 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Senior goalkeeper Kellen Markley is also returning for LVC's defense, after posting 196 saves in 2025. Sophomore goalkeepers Collin Regina and Dominic Varacallo spent time patrolling the net last spring as well.

The Dutchmen are scheduled to begin the year on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m., against Franklin & Marshall College at Arnold Field. Lebanon Valley will start conference play on Wednesday, April 1, at 7 p.m., when the program will travel to take on DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.

The Flying Dutchmen will hold Senior Day on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m., against King's College at Arnold Field. Before the game, the program will recognize its 11 seniors: defender Jayden Peck, goalkeeper Ben Wagner, Rinyak, Moore, Carling, Cummins, LaRue, Manderbach, Capone, Poole, and Markley. Lebanon Valley will then close out the regular season on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m., at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa. LVC's full schedule can be found here.
