Morgan and Hebert Lead Women’s Lacrosse in Season Opener

CARLISLE, Pa. – Elizabeth Morgan recorded three points, and Kyla Hebert scored twice as the Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team began the 2026 season with an 18-5 defeat at Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon on Biddle Field.
 
The Red Devils got out to a strong start in the game, scoring three times in the first three minutes while winning the first four draw controls of the game. Gigi Ditsky made three saves in goal, and LVC scored on the first possession they got the ball inside their attack zone. Morgan fired a shot into the back of the net to cut the deficit to 3-1 with 9:16 to play. The teams batted up and down the field until Dickinson was able to score with 2:53 on the clock to take a 4-1 advantage. Chloe Moser won the draw, and Molly Whisler had a shot saved as Dickinson kept the three-goal lead after the first period.
 
Dickinson added to their lead with three quick goals in the first five minutes of the second quarter. Nina Humpf scored her first career goal off an assist from Bethany Cohee with just under 10 minutes to play in the half. The Dutchmen battled tough as Kamille Bagapuro had a shot saved, but the Red Devils added three more goals to take a 10-2 advantage into halftime.
 
The Dutchmen came out strong defensively to begin the second half, forcing three turnovers. Hebert got on the board with her first goal of the game off an assist by Morgan with 10:27 to play in the quarter. The Devils answered back a minute later with a goal. Hebert countered with a woman-up goal to make it 11-4 with 7:24 on the clock. Three minutes later, Dickinson scored to push the advantage back up to eight. LVC was able to get the deficit back to seven before the quarter ended as Morgan found Whisler open for her first goal of the season. LVC kept battling throughout the fourth quarter, but the Red Devils scored six times and won four of the five draw controls in the quarter.
 
Inside the Box
  • Morgan led the Dutchmen with three points on one goal and two assists. She scored the 60th goal of her career and the 100th point of her career. The junior took three shots and caused one turnover.
  • Hebert scored twice on four shots. The senior put three shots on goal and won one draw control.
  • Humpf scored the first goal of her career on one shot. She also won one draw control.
  • Whisler scored the 70th goal of her career on three shots.
  • Cohee recorded her 105th career assist.
  • Ditsky made eight saves in goal and picked up a team-high six ground balls.
  • Moser won six draw controls and caused one turnover.
  • The Dutchmen were 16-for-19 on clear attempts.
Up Next
LVC will play its home opener on Wednesday evening as they welcome Eastern Mennonite University to Arnold Field for the first-ever meeting between the programs. The first draw is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Annville.
