Reynolds Leads Dutchmen at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College senior Teaguen Reynolds recorded a team-high 9.5 points as the women's volleyball team dropped a tough 3-1 decision at Arcadia University on Wednesday evening at Alumni Gymnasium in Glenside. The Knights won by scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

LVC won the first set as they got out to a big 7-4 lead following a service ace from Reynolds. The Knights cut the lead to two points before a big 5-2 run pushed the advantage up to 14-9. The Dutchmen continued to extend the lead as Jillian Jefferys and Libby Lindau blocked an attack to make it 21-12. Arcadia didn't go quietly in the set and rallied to make things interesting before Jefferys put away the final point to give the Dutchmen a 25-20 set win.

Arcadia used a strong 5-2 start to the second set. LVC answered right back and tied the set on a Jasmine Sullivan point. The Knights then used a 6-1 rally to build the advantage up to five. They extended the lead to 19-10 and then held off a late rally from the Dutchmen to tie the match up at one with a 25-19 set victory.

LVC won the first two points of the third set before Arcadia scored 10 of the next 11. They continued their run and built their lead up to 13-4. Once again, the Dutchmen started a late comeback in the set, but it wasn't enough as the Knights took the lead in the match with a 25-20 set win. The fourth set began with three straight points by the Knights. LVC countered, and back-to-back points by Hadley Sparks and Jefferys tied the set at four. The teams battled back and forth, and the Dutchmen took a 9-8 advantage. Arcadia scored seven of the next nine points to gain the lead back. They pushed the advantage up to 20-13 and held off another late set rally from the Dutchmen to win the set 25-19.
