ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Lacrosse team scored four times in the first five minutes and never looked back in a 20-4 victory over visiting King's College on Saturday afternoon at Arnold Field in the second Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom game of the season.

Bethany Cohee found
Emily Beard open over the middle for the fifth year's 40th goal of the season.
Alyssa Wene won the following draw control and
Molly Whisler found space to score her first goal of the game to put the Dutchmen up 2-0. The Dutchmen increased the lead to 4-0 with a pair of goals 23 seconds apart by Whisler and Beard. Wene was fouled for a free position attempt but decided to pass the ball to Whisler who scored with 11:12 on the clock. Beard won the next draw and after working the ball around, Cohee hit Beard in stride for the second time to give LVC a four-goal lead.
The Monarchs got on the board with their first goal of the game to cut the advantage to 4-1. Not even a minute later
Katie DeWitt scored her 12th goal of the season off a feed by
Kyla Hebert. The Dutchmen took advantage of the first card of the game as Cohee found Whisler open for her third goal of the game just four seconds into the extra-woman opportunity. Beard completed her hat trick with just under a minute to play in the quarter as Cohee recorded her fourth assist to make it 7-1 after one.
The Dutchmen went on another extra-woman opportunity early in the second quarter and once again took full advantage as Hebert scored 14 seconds into the opportunity off a pass by
Elizabeth Morgan. King's answered with a goal a little over a minute later to cut the lead to 8-2. The Monarchs were able to keep the Dutchmen off the scoreboard until Wene scored her second goal of the game off a feed from Cohee with 5:15 remaining in the half. Cohee then scored her first goal of the game to push the lead to 10-2. The Dutchmen added another woman-up goal 25 seconds later as Morgan assisted Beard.
Whisler gave the Dutchmen a 10-goal advantage early in the third quarter as Cohee recorded another assist with 12:34 left on the clock. A few minutes later Cohee assisted Whisler again as LVC increased the advantage to 13-2. Wene scored her 40th goal of the season with a little over seven minutes left in the quarter. The lead increased to 15-2 as Whisler added her sixth goal of the game. Beard and Cohee connected for the fourth time in the game on the first possession of the fourth quarter to push the advantage to 14. The Monarchs scored their first goal of the second half with 12:27 remaining but the Dutchmen answered right back as Beard found Cohee open on the wing for the junior's second goal of the game. Whisler scored her seventh goal off a feed by Cohee before Wene scored on a free position shot to give LVC a 19-3 lead. King's was able to score with just under three minutes on the clock but once again LVC responded quickly as Cohee hit Beard for the final goal of the game.
Inside the Box
- Cohee had a career-high 12 points on two goals and 10 assists. Her 10 assists tie her career-high and school record mark that she equaled last week against Albright. The junior also had a season-high four ground balls.
- Whisler scored a career-high seven goals on 11 shots. The junior recorded her fifth hat trick of the season.
- Beard had seven points on six goals and one assist. She also won a season-high five draw controls. Beard scored six goals in a game for the third time this year and has scored in every game.
- Wene was the third Dutchmen with a hat trick recording four points on three goals and an assist. The senior won three draw controls and picked up four ground balls.
- Chloe Moser won a game-high 12 draw controls and picked up one ground ball.
- Hebert added two points on one goal and one assist while Morgan had two assists.
- Allison Keeney had two caused turnovers and three ground balls for the defense.
- The Dutchmen had a 40-9 shot advantage in the game and won 21 of the 28 draw controls. LVC was a perfect 20-for-20 on clear attempts.

LVC will be back in action on Wednesday with a trip to Glenside for a 6 p.m. start against Arcadia University in another MAC Freedom contest.
