ANNVILLE, Pa. – The second-seeded Lebanon Valley Women's Lacrosse team is ready to make a return trip to the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship this week and will look to win the program's first conference title since 2019. LVC will host third-seeded DeSales University on Wednesday in one of two semifinal games.
The Dutchmen enter the postseason with a 12-5 record and went 6-1 in the MAC Freedom for the second consecutive year with the lone loss coming this past Saturday at top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology. LVC started conference play with a 17-13 win at DeSales where they jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first six minutes. The Bulldogs are 15-2 on the season and went 5-2 in conference play. Top-seeded and 18th-ranked Stevens in 13-4 and went 7-0 in the conference. They will play fourth-seeded Misericordia University in the other semifinal pairing. The Cougars are 6-10 and 4-3 in the MAC Freedom falling to LVC and DeSales in back-to-back home games by scores of 17-8 and 17-10. The Ducks defeated the Cougars 19-4 in Dallas back on April 5. The winners of Wednesday's semifinals games will meet on Saturday at the site of the higher seed to play for the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.

LVC is 8-1 on Arnold Field this season with the only defeat coming to Dickinson College in the season-opener back in February. The Dutchmen have stormed through conference play averaging 17.4 goals per game and allowing just seven.
Emily Beard has led the way in scoring as she tops the MAC Freedom with 64 goals. The attacker added 18 assists for 82 points and has scored four game-winning goals. She has also contributed 24 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers, and 18 draw controls.
Bethany Cohee is second on the team in points with 75 with 15 goals and 60 assists. She is second in the MAC Freedom in assists while adding 14 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Alyssa Wene has 74 points on 55 goals and 19 assists with three game-winning goals. The senior has scored 14 free-position goals while adding 99 draw controls, 17 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers.
Elizabeth Morgan has also been a weapon for the offense with 58 points on 40 goals and 18 assists. The sophomore has one game-winning goal, 17 ground balls, and one caused turnover.
Molly Whisler adds 37 goals and 18 assists for 55 points with two game-winning goals. The junior has also recorded 10 ground balls.
Kyla Hebert has 25 points on 21 goals and four assists with one game-winning goal. She picked up 13 ground balls won 25 draw controls with one caused turnover.
Katie DeWitt has come off the bench to score 16 goals, including one game-winning goal, and dish out six assists for 22 points.
Jenna Davis has seven points on six goals and an assist while
Emily Menet has scored two goals.
The defense has been great this season as the Dutchmen have outscored teams 263-164 and have a 281-200 advantage in draw controls.
Chloe Moser has led the way with a program record 118 draw controls to go with 48 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers.
Annelise Vetter has helped solidify the back line with 33 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers while
Allison Keeney adds 24 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Kaite Giusti has 18 ground balls and three caused turnovers while
Grace Marchese add 14 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, eight draw controls, and two goals.
Anna Ridlon has 10 ground balls and nine caused turnovers while
Hannah Schneider has scored three goals and added six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Julia Lancellotti adds five ground balls and four caused turnovers while
Morgan Delaney has three ground balls and four caused turnovers.
In goal,
Gigi Ditsky has been outstanding with 124 saves and a .957 save percentage. She is third on the team in ground balls with 33 ground balls and the junior has also caused five turnovers.
