ANNVILLE, Pa. – Chloe Moser broke the Lebanon Valley Women's Lacrosse record for draw controls in a game with 17 as the Dutchmen recorded an impressive 23-1 victory over Delaware Valley University on Saturday afternoon at Arnold Field.
 
LVC (10-4, 4-0 MAC Freedom) limited the Aggies (6-7, 0-3 MAC Freedom) to just five total shots with only two going on goal. Moser won the opening draw, and 
Emily Beard scored the first goal of the game a little over a minute in to put LVC on top. The Dutchmen didn't allow the Aggies to cross midfield with the ball over the first five minutes as they forced turnovers on four clear attempts. 
Molly Whisler scored six seconds into an extra-woman opportunity off a pass by 
Bethany Cohee to double the lead. Beard scored on a free position shot before Whisler dished out a pair of assists to 
Elizabeth Morgan and Beard to put the Dutchmen up 5-0 with 7:36 on the clock.
 
DVU called a timeout to try and stop the run, but the Dutchmen continued the dominant play with unassisted goals by Morgan and Beard. LVC scored four times in the final five minutes of the quarter to take an 11-0 lead over the Aggies. Morgan completed her hat trick with a woman-up goal before Whisler found Cohee for a goal. Whisler added another assist as Beard scored her fifth goal of the quarter to make it 10-0 with 2:52 left. 
Alyssa Wene scored in the final minute with her first goal of the game.
 
The Dutchmen began the second quarter with a goal by Whisler a couple of minutes into the period. Moser won another draw and Beard found Cohee over the middle for her first goal of the game to make it 13-0. The lead grew to 14 as Cohee found Morgan for another goal with around six minutes on the clock. The Dutchmen added another goal in the final minute as 
Katie DeWitt scored her 13th goal of the season off an assist by Morgan.
 
LVC controlled possession for a good portion of the third quarter but had a pair of shots by Wene saved. 
Kyla Hebert scored the first goal of the half right with just under nine minutes to play with a free position goal. DeWitt added another free position goal two minutes later. Beard and Wene scored the final two goals on the quarter to push the advantage up to 19-0.
 
Hebert completed her hat trick with the first two goals of the fourth quarter to make it 21-0. Beard assisted on the first goal before Hebert scored unassisted on the second. Delaware Valley got on the scoreboard with its only goal of the game on a free position goal with eight minutes to go. LVC answered as Cohee found Morgan for a goal a couple of minutes later. The Dutchmen wrapped up the scoring with two minutes left as Hebert scored a woman-down goal off an assist by Beard.
 
Inside the Box
	- Moser had 17 draw controls to break the previous record of 15 that Wene recorded earlier this year against Marywood. The first-year defender also had two ground balls and one caused turnover.
 
	- Beard led the offense with 10 points on six goals and four assists. She recorded her second 10-point game of the season and added a game-high four ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls.
 
	- Morgan had another strong game with five goals and one assist for six points. The sophomore took six shots putting all of them on goal and had a ground ball.
 
	- Whisler also had six points on two goals and four assists. This is the second time this season the junior has scored multiple goals and dished out at least four assists.
 
	- Cohee kept her team-lead in points with five on two goals and three assists. The junior now has 69 points on the season and is second in the MAC Freedom with 56 assists.
 
	- Hebert scored a career-high four goals on seven shots with one ground ball, one caused turnover, and one draw control. The junior recorded her third hat trick of the season.
 
	- Wene had two goals on seven shots during her Senior Day game. She also had one ground ball, one caused turnover, and one draw control.
 
	- DeWitt recorded her fourth multi-goal game of the season with two goals on three shots.
 
	- Katie Giusti had two ground balls while Gigi Ditsky made one save, her 100th of the season, and had two caused turnovers and one ground ball.
 
	- LVC outshot the Aggies 40-5 including 20-0 in the first quarter. The Dutchmen did not allow a single shot on goal until the fourth quarter when the lead was 21-0.
 
	- The Dutchmen won 21 of the 26 draw controls and were a perfect 11-for-11 on clear attempts while holding DVU to 7-for-16 on their clear attempts.
 
Up Next
The Dutchmen will head to Dallas on Wednesday for a MAC Freedom Semifinal rematch with Misericordia University. The opening draw is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Mangelsdorf Field as the Dutchmen will look to clinch at least the second seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament with a win and a Stevens victory over DeSales.
