ANNVILLE, Pa. – Bethany Cohee equaled the Lebanon Valley Women's Lacrosse record for assists in a game as the junior dished out 10 in a dominant 17-4 victory over Albright College on Wednesday afternoon at Arnold Field in Annville.
 
LVC (6-3) won the opening draw as 
Chloe Moser gave the Dutchmen the first possession of the game. 
Molly Whisler hit the post and Albright picked up the ground ball. The Lions (3-6) cleared the ball and scored the first goal of the game with 13:41 on the clock. Moser won another draw and 
Alyssa Wene converted on a free position shot to tie the game up at one. The Dutchmen took advantage of the first card by the Lions as 
Emily Beard scored her first goal off an assist by Cohee to put LVC ahead. Cohee then found 
Katie DeWitt over the middle for her ninth goal of the season with just under 10 to play in the quarter.
 
The lead extended to 4-1 as Cohee and Beard connected for the second time in a span of three minutes. Beard completed her hat trick with just over six minutes to play as she raced past defenders for an unassisted goal. The Dutchmen increased the lead to 6-1 as Whisler scored a woman-up goal off a feed by Cohee with 5:17 on the clock. Albright was able to cut into the lead with a goal to make it 6-2 after the first quarter of play. Whisler nearly scored at the end of the quarter but her shot in the final seconds was saved.
 
Moser won the opening draw of the second quarter and Wene had a good look on a free position shot that was saved by the Albright goalie. 
Gigi Ditsky made a big save at the other end of the field before the Dutchmen raced the ball up the field and Wene found DeWitt open for her second goal of the game with 12:30 left in the half. Cohee and Beard connected on the next two goals to push the lead to 9-2 with 8:24 remaining. 
Elizabeth Morgan scored her 11th goal of the year to increase the lead to eight. The Lions were able to score off a failed clear attempt late in the half to make it 10-3 at the break.
 
The Dutchmen shut the Lions out in the third quarter and scored four times to go up by 11. Wene scored the first goal of the quarter off a clear attempt with 11:24 on the clock. The Lions kept LVC off the board until a trio of goals in the final five minutes. The Dutchmen called a timeout and then Wene took the ball almost the length of the field for a successful clear before Beard scored unassisted. 
Kyla Hebert scored a little over 30 seconds later with her eighth goal of the season before Beard finished off the scoring in the quarter with her seventh goal of the game off an assist by Cohee. LVC out shot Albright 7-3 in the quarter and won four of the five draw controls.
 
The lead increased to 12 a few minutes into the fourth quarter as Cohee found Morgan over the middle for her second goal of the game. Albright ended its scoreless drought with a goal a little over midway through the period to make it 15-4. Moser won the draw following the goal and Cohee earned a free position attempt. The junior found Beard cutting to the goal off the attempt for Beard's eighth goal of the game. 
Jenna Davis scored her second goal of the season off a final assist by Cohee with just under two minutes to play for the last goal of the game.
 
Inside the Box
	- Cohee equaled her career-high of 10 points on a program record 10 assists. She equaled the mark set by Veronica Venezia against King's in 2019. Cohee also recorded her 100th career point in the game.
 
	- Beard had a career-high eight goals for the third time in her career and the second time this season. She scored on 10 total shots and nine shots on goal. Beard also had two ground balls, a caused turnover, and a draw control.
 
	- Wene scored a pair of goals and added an assist for three points. The senior won seven draw controls.
 
	- Morgan and DeWitt had two goals apiece while Davis, Whisler, and Hebert all scored one goal.
 
	- Moser led the team with nine draw controls, three caused turnovers, and six ground balls.
 
	- Annelise Vetter had four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
 
	- LVC had a 41-13 shot advantage in the game and won 17 of the 24 draw controls. The Dutchmen had a 22-14 advantage in ground balls and forced 23 Albright turnovers.
