ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Tennis team swept all nine matches in a 7-0 victory over host Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon in St. Davids.
The Dutchmen (5-4) started the match by winning the doubles point dropping just six total games over the course of the three matches. LVC then swept all six singles matches in straight sets dropping a total of 14 games.
Inside the Box
- Sarah McComas and Gigi Guay were the first doubles court done at number three with a 6-1 victory.
- Erika Badner and Nikki Denbowski clinched the team point at number two with a 6-2 win.
- Megan Martin and Catherine Stone won 6-3 at number one to improve to 2-0 on the season together.
- Jenna Miner won 6-0, 6-0 at number five singles to even her season record up at 3-3.
- Martin was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number three for her second win of the year. She is 2-0 when playing at number three.
- Badner won 6-2, 6-0 at number two to improve to 5-5 for the year.
- Laken Kelly improved to 5-1 at number six with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
- Katie Berra won 6-2, 6-2 at number four to improve to 5-3 on the year.
- Stone played her first match of the year at number one singles and won 6-3, 6-2.
- LVC improved to 16-0 all-time against the Eagles.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be off until Friday March 21 when they will host Messiah University at the Shankroff Tennis Center for a 6 p.m. start in the first home match of the spring.
