ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley senior
Riley Hevelow scored a game-high 19 points, including the 1,000th point of her career, to lead the Dutchmen women's basketball squad to a dominant 75-25 victory over Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday evening at Sorrentino Gymnasium in Annville.
Hevelow, who entered the game needing 17 points to reach her career milestone, scored six points in the first half while taking just five shots. The guard came out on fire in the third quarter scoring 13 points on seven shots. She hit a corner three with a little over three minutes to play off an assist by
Kailey Eckhart for her 1,000th point. She becomes the 17th Dutchmen in program history to score 1,000 career points. She is the first to reach the milestone since Kate Fitzpatrick in 2024, who also scored her 1,000th on a three-pointer in the third quarter in a victory over King's inside Sorrentino Gymnasium.
LVC (7-2) posted its largest win of the season with a great defensive effort holding the Chargers (4-9) to just 17 percent shooting from the field and just one made field goal in the first half.

Kailey Eckhart blocked a shot, grabbed the rebound, and then hit Reidinger in the paint for two points. Lancaster Bible got on the board 2:32 into the game with a three-pointer on the wing. That would be the only points for the Chargers in the quarter as LVC outscored them 13-0 the rest of the period. Eckhart put back her own miss under the basket before Hevelow scored her first points of the game on a jumper off a pass from Reed.
Megan Albrecht made the back end of two shots at the line and Reidinger grabbed an offensive rebound and scored on the putback. Hevelow made back-to-back buckets to run the score to 15-3 with 2:35 left in the quarter. Albrecht scored on a driving layup in the final minute to give the Dutchmen a 14-point advantage after the first 10 minutes.
The Dutchmen kept up the defensive pressure in the second quarter outscoring the Chargers 13-2 in the period and holding LBC without a made field goal. Albrecht scored the first three points of the quarter on an offensive layup and putback, and then she knocked down a free throw. Reed beat a defender off the dribble and drove to the rim for a layup.
Alexa Holcomb followed that up with a driving layup to push the lead to 24-3 at the media timeout. Albrecht stepped in front of a pass and then hit Reed slashing to the rim for two points. The Chargers hit a free throw for their first point of the quarter with 1:29 left. Holcomb had another driving layup before LBC knocked down another free throw to cut the deficit to 28-5.
Erika Badner knocked down a jumper in the left corner right before halftime to give the Dutchmen a 25-point advantage.
The Chargers scored the first points of the third quarter with a transition layup after a missed jumper. Eckhart backed down a defender for a layup and then Reidinger scored underneath the rim. LBC answered with a layup before back-to-back scores by Hevelow. The senior drove to the basket for a layup and then got out in transition with a pull-up jumper on the left wing. The Chargers scored and then Hevelow knocked down another pull-up jumper, this time near the baseline. Eckhart pushed the advantage to 42-11 with a layup off a feed inside by Hevelow. Albrecht was fouled while shooting and knocked down a pair of shots at the line. Hevelow continued her run with an elbow jumper on the right side to give LVC a 46-11 advantage at the media timeout.
Eckhart and Reidinger scored on back-to-back layups before Hevelow's milestone bucket. Hevelow had the ball at the top of the key, she dribbled left and handed the ball off to Eckhart while continuing to flair towards the corner. Eckhart turned and sent a pass to Hevelow, who squared up and swished the shot with 3:08 on the clock. She then added to her total as Albrecht stole the ball and found Hevelow streaking to the hoop for a layup to make it 55-11. Lancaster Bible scored the final six points of the quarter over the final 1:15 to cut the deficit down to 38 points after three. LVC outscored the Chargers 25-12 in the quarter.
The Dutchmen played their bench for the fourth quarter and were able to keep the defensive pressure up while outscoring the Chargers 20-8 over the final 10 minutes.

Erin Ford scored on a driving layup. The teams traded made free throws as Albrecht knocked down her shots at the line. Ford knocked down a three on the wing off a pass by Badner and then
Maddie Sellers scored down low after grabbing an offensive rebound. LBC scored on a jumper before
Ava Peel scored her first points of the year on a layup and then Kayla Kirpatrick made the first three-pointer of her career with a corner bucket off an assist by Badner. Badner then hit a three on the right side to make it 74-24 with 2:15 remaining. Sellers knocked down a free throw in the final minute and then the Chargers added a free throw with eight seconds left to set the final score.
Inside the Box
- Hevelow had 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal in just 20 minutes of action. She was a productive 9-for-12 from the field and knocked down the only three-pointer she took.
- Albrecht scored a season-high 12 points and grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. The first-year was 6-for-8 at the free throw line. She also recorded three steals and two assists.
- Reidinger had eight points and eight rebounds with one block and one assist in 24 minutes of action. The senior recorded the 800th rebound of her career.
- Eckhart added eight points and six rebounds while Reed had six points, three rebounds, and two steals.
- Badner and Ford scored five points each while Holcomb had four points and three rebounds in her first start.
- The Dutchmen had a commanding 52-25 rebound advantage and scored a season-high 75 points for the second time this season. LVC shot a season-best 48.5 percent from the field.
- The 25 points allowed was the lowest LVC had held their opponent to since a 47-24 victory over DeSales University last January on Hot Dog Frank Day.
- Lebanon Valley has won six consecutive games and are 4-0 at Sorrentino Gymnasium during the streak.
- LVC is now 5-0 all-time against Lancaster Bible with this being the first meeting since 1976.

The Dutchmen will hit the road for the final time in 2025 as they make the short trip to Reading on Thursday to face Alvernia University. Tip-off against the Golden Wolves is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Jack McCloskey Court in the Physical Education Center.
