NEWTOWN, Pa. – Senior guard
Riley Hevelow was recognized for her performance in the Lebanon Valley College women's basketball team's recent win over Moravian University, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced in a release on Tuesday, Dec. 16, that she was selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week.
Hevelow fueled Lebanon Valley's fifth straight victory with a standout all-around effort in a 73-56 win at Moravian on Saturday, Dec. 13. The senior recorded season-highs of 24 points and seven rebounds while dishing out a career-best six assists. She scored 13 points in the first quarter alone, shooting 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from three, as LVC built an early 27-15 advantage. She finished the game shooting 58.8% from the field, making 10 of 17 field goal attempts.
This is the second time Hevelow has been chosen as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week this season, and it marks the senior's fourth career conference weekly award. The Dutchmen have also been honored in back-to-back weeks, as senior forward
Kailey Eckhart earned recognition from the conference on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Additionally, LVC has now received three MAC Freedom weekly awards during the campaign.
