NEWTOWN, Pa. – Senior forward Evin Timochenko was recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for his production in the Lebanon Valley College Men's Basketball team's last three matchups, as the conference office announced in a release on Monday that he was selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week.
Timochenko averaged 20.33 points per game over three games while leading the Dutchmen to a 1-2 record, with both losses coming down to the final minute. The senior started with 29 points and six rebounds in a 72-71 defeat at Wilson College on Dec. 21, 2024, where the Phoenix won the game on a last-second three. Timochenko was 13-for-19 from the field and 3-for-5 at the line while grabbing two offensive rebounds. The forward then had 12 points and four rebounds in a 78-73 defeat at Neumann University on Dec. 30, 2024, where it was a two-point game with a minute left. Timochenko finished non-conference play with 20 points and five rebounds in an 88-78 victory over Lycoming College this past Saturday. The senior shot 59.1 percent over the three games in 93 minutes of action.
Timochenko was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, which also marks the fourth honor of his career. The forward was presented with the award on Nov. 11, 2024, Dec. 2, 2024, and Dec. 16, 2024, as well. Additionally, Timochenko has received each of Lebanon Valley's four weekly honors during the campaign.
Timochenko and the Dutchmen will return to the court at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, when the program will host Stevens Institute of Technology at Sorrentino Gymnasium for its MAC Freedom opener.
