ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Tennis team had a pair of matches on Saturday at the Shankroff Tennis Center as the Dutchmen begin the fall season. LVC took on Dickinson College in the afternoon and then faced Gettysburg College at night under the lights.
Dickinson defeated the Dutchmen 6-1 with LVC's lone point coming at number six singles by
Laken Kelly.
Erika Badner and
Katie Berra were 2-0 against the Bullets as they won at number two doubles, and both won their singles matches in a 5-2 defeat to Gettysburg.
Inside the Boxes
- Kelly won her first collegiate tennis match 6-3, 6-4 at number six singles.
- Badner and Berra defeated Gettysburg's number two doubles team 7-5. Badner then won her number three singles match 6-1, 6-2 while Berra won at number four singles 6-4, 6-2.
- Badner went three sets in her singles match against Dickinson and dropped a 6-7, 7-6, 6-1 decision in her first collegiate match.
