ANNVILLE, Pa. – Aaron Weitzel led the Lebanon Valley College Men's Soccer team with two goals, playing a key role in the program's strong offensive performance in its 5-0 win over Alfred University on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Herbert Field.
The Dutchmen (2-0-0) and the Saxons (0-2-0) went back and forth defensively early in the first half, as neither team registered a shot on goal for over 10 minutes at the start. Lebanon Valley then generated some offensive opportunities, as

Lucas Strange on the left side in front of the net. He then sent a header pass to Weitzel back on the right in front of the net, who fired a shot into the upper-right corner of the net for the goal.
Defensively, Lebanon Valley continued to dominate as the first half rolled on. The program kept Alfred from registering a shot on goal during the opening 45 minutes of play. LVC also generated more offensive opportunities during the stanza, attempting five more total shots in the remaining minutes.

Nathan Kimball delivered a pass to Weitzel before he sent the ball into the right corner of the net. The Dutchmen then tacked onto their lead just under nine minutes later, advancing the score to 3-0 when the squads were 60:22 into the match.
Aidan Negron found the net by sending a header shot past the diving attempt of Alfred's goalkeeper, courtesy of an assist by Weinstock-Collins.
LVC put another tally on the scoreboard 68:50 into the contest, extending their lead to 4-0.
Ethan Groff kicked the ball past a diving try of the goalie to put the team up by four, following an assist by Negron. The Dutchmen capped off the scoring 3:49 later, making it a 5-0 ballgame on an unassisted goal by
Ben Ammon. Shortly after a free kick that was deflected by the goalkeeper toward the penalty arc, the sophomore delivered a shot that sailed into the upper-center portion of the net.
