MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's tennis team gave Division II Millersville a battle in a 7-0 defeat to the Marauders on Monday afternoon at the McComsey Tennis Courts in Millersville.
The Dutchmen (14-2) played three great matches in doubles, but the Marauders (11-7) were able to capture all three to pick up the doubles point. Millersville then won all six singles matches with one going to three sets.
Inside the Box
- Sarah Kramer and Abbey DeLisio were the first doubles court to finish as Millersville's second doubles team won a close 6-4 battle.
- LVC's top double team of Jacquelyn McBride and Sarah McComas also played to a close 6-4 defeat.
- Eliana Shenk and Megan Martin gave the Marauder another battle at number three doubles before falling 7-5.
- McBride got off to a great start in singles as she won the first set before falling 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 at number one.
- Kramer and Shenk won two games each in the second sets of identical 6-0, 6-2 defeats at number three and number four.
- Martin won a game in the second set of a 6-0, 6-1 defeat at number five singles.
- Jenna Miner and McComas dropped 6-0, 6-0 decisions at number six and number two.

The Dutchmen will honor their seniors prior to a 4 p.m. match on Wednesday as LVC takes on DeSales University in the first of two big conference matches this week that will determine conference tournament seeding.
