ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over visiting King's College on Sunday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center to extend the program's home winning streak to 22 matches.
LVC (14-1, 3-1 MAC Freedom) won all three doubles matches and then took five of the six singles matches to defeat the Monarchs (5-9, 1-4 MAC Freedom).
Inside the Box
- Abbey DeLisio and Megan Martin were the first doubles match to finish with an 8-1 victory at number three.
- Nicole Honrade and Eliana Shenk were the next court to finish with an 8-1 victory at number two.
- Jacquelyn McBride and Sarah McComas gave the Dutchmen a 3-0 lead with an 8-5 win at number one doubles.
- Shenk was the first singles court to finish with a 6-2-6-0 win at number three for her 11th victory of the season.
- McComas clinched the match victory with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at number one singles to improve to 16-2.
- Martin was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number four for her 12th win.
- Jenna Miner won 6-0, 6-2 at number five to improve to 6-3 on the year.
- Kendall Halsey won 6-4, 6-3 at number six to improve to 2-1.
- The Dutchmen have won six consecutive matches against the Monarchs.
