BAYONNE, N.J. – Nicole Honrade won her 100th career match on Saturday for the Lebanon Valley women's tennis team as the Dutchmen dropped their first match of the year to defending MAC Freedom Champions Stevens Institute of Technology 7-2 at the Bayonne Tennis Courts in Stephen Gregg Park in Bayonne.
The Dutchmen (13-1, 2-1 MAC Freedom) won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Ducks (7-5, 2-0 MAC Freedom) responded by winning all six singles matches.
Inside the Box
- Honrade earned her 100th victory with a thrilling 8-6 victory with Jacquelyn McBride at number one doubles. The duo are undefeated this year at 4-0 when playing together. Honrade is 10-0 in doubles play overall while McBride is 12-1.
- Sarah Kramer and Sarah McComas earned an 8-2 victory at number two doubles for their fourth win of the year. The duo also are undefeated when playing together this year.
- Honrade dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 6-2 decision at number one singles.
- Megan Martin took her opponent to three sets and was the only Dutchmen to win a set at number six singles in a 6-4, 6-7, 10-6 decision.
- McComas also had a tight battle at number three where she dropped a 6-4, 6-3 match.
- Eliana Shenk was also dealt a 6-4, 6-3 defeat at number five singles.
- McBride was defeated 6-4, 6-2 at number two singles.

The Dutchmen will return to the Shankroff Tennis Center where they will host King's College on Wednesday for a 3:30 p.m. start.
