Darrian Berkheimer contributed to these efforts, taking a shot on goal that was saved at the 26:55 mark before an attempt that went to the left of the net at the 34:50 mark. LVC's defense was also stellar in the remaining minutes of the half, as the program kept the opposition scoreless to take a 1-0 advantage into the break.

The Flying Dutchmen kept working to create scoring chances as the second half began, as Sophia Floyd took a shot that was saved 49:12 into the match, and Miller had a try that was saved at the 50:41 mark. The Aggies countered with two shots on goal within 28 seconds in the 57th minute, and both of these attempts resulted in important saves by goalkeeper Camryn Porter. The programs followed this by going back and forth on the defensive end, as neither side logged a shot on goal for nearly 19 minutes.

The Dutchmen put another tally on the scoreboard at the 75:17 mark, providing the squad with a 2-0 lead. The team went up by two on Jordan Lasky's goal that got over the leaping attempt of the goalie and settled into the left corner of the net, following an assist by Miller.
