Football Shuts Out Rival Albright, 27-0

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Football team rushed for nearly 300 yards and the defense pitched a shutout in a 27-0 victory over Albright College in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) game at Arnold Field on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Dutchmen (5-5, 5-4 MAC) held Albright to 68 yards of total offense and shut out an opponent for the first time since the 2017 season. Noah Caldani led the defense with five tackles, including two sacks. Ryan Enright also finished with five tackles.

On a day when the team celebrated its 26 seniors, LVC started out with a statement. The offense drove the field on its opening possession and Tim Kissinger made a 27-yard field goal for an early 3-0 advantage. On the ensuing possession, Evan Kutzler intercepted an Albright (1-9, 1-8 MAC) pass and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown, stretching the LVC lead to 10-0.

Kissinger added another field goal from 40 yards to stake LVC to a 13-0 halftime lead. His 13 made field goals this season leads the conference.

LVC pounded the ball in the second half, with both Braden Bohannon and Malachi Williams finding the end zone. Bohannon's 36-yard rushing score capped a two-play, 75-yard drive to open the third quarter. Williams' score closed out a 16-play, 87-yard march that ate up more than nine minutes of clock and pushed the score to 27-0.

In holding with campus tradition, the football team will lead the LVC student body on the March to Kreiderheim—the residence of College President James MacLaren—on Monday, Nov. 18. Students will request the day before Thanksgiving off from classes for an early start to the holiday break.
