NEWTOWN, Pa. – Four Lebanon Valley College Women's Soccer players were honored for their contributions during the 2024 season, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced the All-MAC Freedom Women's Soccer Team in a release on Wednesday. Senior midfielder Darrian Berkheimer was selected to the First Team, while sophomore defender Emilee Walborn and first-year goalkeeper Camryn Porter were both chosen to the Second Team. Additionally, sophomore Abrielle Miller was recognized as an Honorable Mention.
Berkheimer's First Team honors mark the senior's third All-Conference selection, as the midfielder was also named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team in 2022 and listed as an All-MAC Freedom Honorable Mention in 2023. Berkheimer led the Dutchmen with 20 points, nine goals, and four game-winning goals. In the MAC Freedom, the midfielder ranked tied for second in game-winning goals, tied for fifth in goals, and eighth in points. Among Berkheimer's top performances of the year were her season-high four-point efforts with two goals in both the 2-1 victory over Wilkes University on Sept. 14, and the 2-2 tie at FDU-Florham on Oct. 19. The senior also provided the game-winners in the victory against Wilkes, the 1-0 win at Eastern University on Sept. 18, the 1-0 victory at Ursinus College on Sept. 25, and the 3-1 win over Widener University on Sept. 28. Additionally, Berkheimer was chosen as the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 30 for her efforts at Ursinus and against Widener.
Walborn was chosen to the All-MAC Freedom Team for the first time in her career, following a strong sophomore campaign. The defender started in 17 games and played an integral role in the production of Lebanon Valley's defensive unit, which held opponents to 1.61 goals per game. This ranks third among the teams in the MAC Freedom. Walborn also contributed to the Dutchmen posting five shutout victories during the season, including a 3-0 victory over Delaware Valley University on Nov. 2 to close out the fall.
Porter was named to the All-MAC Freedom Team during her first collegiate season with the Dutchmen, earning the recognition for an impressive debut campaign. The goalkeeper made 96 saves to rank second among goalies in the MAC Freedom while tying for second in the conference with five shutouts. Porter also registered 5.33 saves per game, a save percentage of .768, and a goals against average of 1.611, all of which rank third in the conference. The first-year's season-high in saves came at Alvernia University on Sept. 3, when the goalie tallied 11 stops. Additionally, Porter delivered a dominant eight-save effort in a shutout against Stevenson University on Sept. 21, helping lead Lebanon Valley to a 1-0 victory. The goalkeeper was also honored by the MAC Freedom three times during the fall, receiving the conference's Defensive Player of the Week award on Sept. 16, Sept. 23, and Sept. 30.
Miller also received All-MAC Freedom honors for the first time in her career, earning the recognition following a solid sophomore season. The forward led the Dutchmen with nine assists while ranking second on the team with 17 points and tying for second with four goals. Miller's nine assists rank first among players in the MAC Freedom. The sophomore delivered several impactful performances during the year, including a three-point effort with a goal and an assist during the 2-0 victory at Manhattanville University on Oct. 16. Miller closed out the year with a season-high four points in Lebanon Valley's season finale, netting the game-winning goal and dishing out two assists in the squad's 3-0 victory at Delaware Valley University on Nov. 2. The two assists also tied her season-high. The sophomore was recognized by the MAC Freedom for her efforts in LVC's 2-1 win over DeSales University on Oct. 30 and the victory at Delaware Valley, as she received Offensive Player of the Week honors on Nov. 4.
