ANNVILLE, Pa. – Brian Dym qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships in two events as the sophomore made his collegiate swimming debut for Lebanon Valley on Friday afternoon. The team swam fast times but were defeated 165-37 by Elizabethtown College in the first home meet of the year.
Meet Highlights
- Tyler Singer had a strong race in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.53 seconds to finish third. Justin Kopp was right behind him with a time of 27.99 seconds and Jeremy Tuz was the third Dutchman was an excellent race as he finished in 28.34 seconds.
- Dym had his first MAC qualifying time of the day in the 200-meter Individual medley with a time of 2:33.31 to finish second.
- Josh Varner finished fourth in the 100-meter butterfly with a MAC qualifying time of 1:09.69.
- Singer had his second strong race of the afternoon with a third place finish in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:07.50.
- Dain Vallie was third in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:17.41.
- Dym led off the 200-meter freestyle relay with a MAC qualifying time of 27.19 seconds as the Dutchmen finished third in 1:53.65. Vallie, Kopp, and Mitchell Delano joined Dym on the relay.

The Dutchmen will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they travel down to Maryland for a tri-meet with host Stevenson University and Juniata College. The meet will begin at 2:30 p.m.
