WASHINGTON D.C. – Michael Schuetz and
Colin Brusse had thrilling three-set victories as the Lebanon Valley men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 6-3 decision at Catholic University on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
The Cardinals won two of the three doubles matches by scores of 8-5 to take the lead in the match. LVC won at number one doubles for their point. In singles, Catholic won the first three courts to clinch the match victories. Lebanon Valley earned victories at number five and number four singles before Catholic won a three-setter at number six.
Inside the Box
- Adam Warren and Brady McLucas teamed up for an 8-6 victory in doubles.
- Schuetz rallied to win his match at number four singles after dropping the first set 6-3. He won the second set 7-6 and took the third set tiebreaker 10-6.
- Brusse also rallied from a first set deficit to win. After dropping the first set 6-3, he won the second set 6-3 and then won 10-7 in the third set tiebreaker.

The Dutchmen will be back in action tomorrow morning with a match against Marymount University at the Georgetown Prep Tennis Club in Rockville, Maryland. First serves are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
