Dutchmen Women’s Tennis Wins Seventh Consecutive Match

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's tennis team won their seventh straight match with a dominating 8-1 victory over Messiah on Friday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
 
LVC (12-3, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth) started off by winning two of the three doubles matches. Messiah (5-7, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) earned their only point of the match at number two doubles. The Dutchmen then swept through the singles matches winning five of the six flights in straight sets.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Nicole Honrade and Sarah Kramer won their 10th dual of the year and third consecutive with an 8-2 victory at number one doubles.
  • Madison Poladian teamed with Eliana Shenk to record an 8-3 win at number three doubles.
  • Honrade cruised to an easy 6-0, 6-1 victory at number one singles to improve to 11-3 in duals.
  • Shenk won 6-2, 6-3 to improve to 6-1 when playing number five singles in duals this year.
  • Haas won her 10th dual match of the season with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at number four singles.
  • Kramer won her seventh straight match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at number two singles.
  • Poladian was the last match to finish and she won 6-2, 6-4 for her ninth dual win of the year.
  • LVC has now won the last 14 matches played at the Shankroff Tennis Center dating back to last spring.
  • The Dutchmen have also won the last four matches against Messiah including last year's semifinal.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will look to clinch the top seed in the conference tournament on Tuesday in the final road match of the season at Eastern University. First serves are scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
