ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's basketball placed three Dutchmen on the 2022-23 All-MAC Commonwealth Team while
Riley Hevelow was named the Rookie of the Year with the release of women's basketball all-conference awards by the Middle Atlantic Conference office on Wednesday.
Kate Fitzpatrick was a first team selection while Hevelow and
Daelyn Stabler were honorable mentions.
Fitzpatrick earned a spot on the All-Conference team for the second consecutive season after being a second team selection and Rookie of the Year a year ago. The junior was a first team honoree this year after finishing second in the conference in points and points per game. Fitzpatrick finished the year with 432 points in 25 games and averaged 17.3 per game. The guard was third in the conference with 54 three-pointers and second in three-point percentage at 35.5. She was also second in free throw percentage making 82.9 percent of her 82 attempts. The junior also had 115 rebounds, 54 assists, 21 steals, and seven blocks. She scored a career-high 28 points in a 74-64 victory over Alvernia on January 7 and recorded her first career double-double with 10 point, a career-high 10 rebounds, and five assists against York on February 4.
Hevelow was voted as the Rookie of the Year and earned a spot as an Honorable Mention after finishing second on the team with 258 points in 25 games for 10.3 points per game. She added 123 rebounds, 43 assists, 19 steals, and four blocks. Hevelow was ninth in field goal percentage making 108 of 265 shots for a 40.8 percentage. The guard had four games with at least 20 points scoring season-highs of 22 points at Marywood on December 30 and against Widener on February 8. She recorded the first double-double of her career with 20 points and a season-high 10 rebounds in a 55-49 comeback victory over Hood on December 10.
Stabler earns her first career all-conference honor as an honorable mention selection after averaging close to a double-double with 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds a game over 26 games this season. The senior was fifth in the conference in shooting percentage at 45.7 percent making 102 of 223 attempts. She finished the year with 235 points, 195 rebounds, 52 assists, 48 steals, and 21 blocks. The forward was a leader on the court for the Dutchmen and recorded three double-doubles while recording season-high of 17 points in a thrilling 61-59 victory at Widener on January 11 and 14 rebounds at Marywood on December 30.
