MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team took a big 3-0 team win over Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday evening.
Lebanon Valley (3-1, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) went into the match against the Nittany Lions with their foot on the gas. The Dutchmen took the first set 25-19, leading over the Nittany Lions the whole set. LVC again came out strong in the second set to take a 25-16 victory, making it 2-0. In the third set, despite the Nittany Lion's starting with an early lead, the Dutchmen came back and finished on top 25-20 to notch the 3-0 win.
Inside the Box
- Ali Whitworth led LVC again in the assists category, tallying 23 on the evening. Whitworth also topped the dig column with 11.
- Taylor McInerney led the Dutchmen in kills and aces, grabbing 10 kills and four aces in the contest. The Junior also dished out seven digs.
- Robyn Stepler and Julia Rill each tallied six kills.
- Kasey Thomas grabbed seven digs and dished out four assists.
- Margaret Cole put up four blocks for LVC.
Who's Next
The Dutchmen will host Eastern University in the Sorrentino Gymnasium for their home opener on Tuesday. First serve of the evening is scheduled for 7 p.m.
