ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team will be in search of their second conference title this week after qualifying for the program's 11th straight Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Tournament.
 
The Dutchmen will begin play at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon at Widener University in the opening round of the tournament. The winner will advance to play top-seeded York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in York. Third-seeded Stevenson University will travel to second-seeded Messiah University in the other semifinal matchup on Wednesday. The winners will compete for the conference crown on Saturday at the site of the highest-remaining seed.

Veronica Venezia has led the Dutchmen attack this season with 93 points on 50 goals and 43 assists. She is second on the team with 56 draw controls. Venezia is first in the MAC Commonwealth with 2.53 assists per game, second in points per game with 5.47, and fifth in goals per game with 2.94. 
Brittany Hathaway is also having a fantastic season with 76 points on 48 goals and 28 assists. She has made her presence felt throughout the conference on draw controls with 97. Hathaway has recorded 16 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. She is second in the MAC Commonwealth with 5.71 draw controls per game, seventh in goals per game with 2.82, third in assists per game with 1.65, and fifth in points at 4.47 per game.
 
LVC has also received significant offensive contributions from 
Sydney Zimmerman, 
Emily Beard, 
Julia Gabriel, 
Bailey Dills, and 
Erin Zieber. Zimmerman has scored 28 goals and added 21 assists for 49 points. She has also picked up 24 ground balls. Beard is fourth on the team with 23 goals and five assists for 28 points. Gabriel leads the team with 29 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. She has 26 points on 19 goals and seven assists and has also won 52 draw controls. Dills also has 26 points on 16 goals and 10 assists with 12 caused turnovers and 23 ground balls. Zieber has scored 14 goals this year and dished out two assists for 16 points. She has been strong on draw controls with 28.
 
The defense has been anchored by 
Julia Abendschoen in goal. The junior has made 195 saves and is third in the conference with a .488 save percentage. She leads the conference with 11.47 saves per game. She has gotten help from 
Hana Neff, 
Gabby Boyer, and 
Hayley Cowles who have been starters on the defensive end all year. Neff has 10 caused turnover and 20 ground balls while Boyer has caused 11 turnover and picked up 20 ground balls. Cowles is coming off a strong defensive game against Alvernia and has 14 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls.
 
As a team the Dutchmen has one of the top offensives in the conference. LVC is second in points per game at 19.53 and tops the standings in assists per game with 7.00. They are fifth in scoring at 12.53 goals per game. They are second in draw controls per game with 15.35.
