ANNVILLE, Pa. –
Veronica Venezia had 11 points on four goals and a season-high seven assists to lead the Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team to a 23-3 victory over Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon on Arnold Field. The attacker became the program's all-time assists leader in the process passing Bailey Benz.
The Dutchmen (7-5, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) led from start to finish building an 11-0 lead in the first quarter.
Julia Gabriel scored the first goal of the game 16 seconds in and then finished the quarter assisting on Venezia's fourth goal. Eastern (1-9, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board with back-to-back goals in the second quarter to cut the LVC lead to 14-2 with 5:45 left. The Dutchmen scored the next nine goals before the Eagles wrapped up the game with their third goal with 45 seconds left in the fourth.

- Venezia scored all four of her goals in the first quarter recorded five of her assists in the second half. She assisted on four straight goals by the Dutchmen to close out the third and begin the fourth quarters. She recorded her record 161st career assist on a feed to Gabriel to begin the fourth quarter scoring.
- Brittany Hathaway also had a big game for the Dutchmen with nine points on three goals and a season-high six assists. She was a force in the midfield recording four draw controls and three caused turnovers.
- Emily Beard had three goals and two assists for five points while Sydney Zimmerman had two goals and two assists.
- Gabriel had a huge game with a team-high six draw controls. She scored twice and added an assist. Laura Tucker had two points on a goal and an assist while Erin Zieber, Alyssa Wene, and Bailey Dills all scored two goals.
- Livia Jackson scored a goal and Kyra Dezzi scored her first collegiate goal with 18 seconds left in the third quarter to become the 11th Dutchman to score a goal in the game.
- The Dutchmen outshot the Eagles 38-9 and held a 14-11 advantage in ground balls. LVC was 9-11 on clear attempts and forced Eastern to a mere 6-13 on their clear attempts. The Dutchmen held a strong advantage in draw controls winning 21 of the 28.
- LVC was 13-for-19 on clear attempts including a perfect 4-for-4 in the third quarter.
Who's Next
The Dutchmen will be back in action on Saturday with a trip down to York to face 13th-ranked York College of Pennsylvania. Opening draw with the Spartans will be at 3:30 p.m. on Kinsley Field.
