ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's lacrosse team took a 16-3 victory over Alvernia on Saturday afternoon.
Trey Ralston led the Dutchmen in the conference contest with a nine-point game.
Colin Hughes followed contributing six points.
Lebanon Valley (8-9 Overall, 3-5 MAC Commonwealth was slow to get on the board in the first quarter, as the first two goals from LVC were in response to an Alvernia (1-15 Overall, 0-8 MAC Commonwealth) goal. In the second quarter, it was the Golden Wolves who opened scoring, but LVC responded with four goals to take the 6-2 lead going into half time. As the second half opened, the Dutchmen came out hot, netting 10 straight goals. Although Alvernia put another goal away with 1:19 remaining, LVC already had the win in hand. The Dutchmen closed out their season with the 16-3 victory, while celebrating their senior class.
Inside the Box Score
- The first-year, Ralston, topped the points category on the afternoon with nine points. The attacker put away five goals while dishing out four assists.
- Hughes had a stellar six-point game and put up a hat trick and three assists.
- Alex Kiviniemi and Carson Frey each contributed five-point games for LVC. Kiviniemi netted four goals while tallying an assist and picking up three ground balls. Frey dished out a hat trick, while giving out two assists.
- Jake Bollinger had a three-point game for the Dutchmen, consisting of a goal and two assists.
- On defense, Ben Weathersby had a phenomenal game causing seven turnovers and picking up seven ground balls.
- Nick Serrano, William Ward, and Aidan Richardson all split time in goal for a combination of six saves. Serrano also grabbed his first career assist from a 75 yd. pass to Ralston in the fourth quarter.
- The Dutchmen out shot the Golden Wolves 65-21 overall, 40-9 on goal.
