CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team fell in a conference match up on the road to the Widener University Pride 4-14 on Wednesday evening. In the contest, four different Dutchmen put away goals.
Lebanon Valley (7-9 Overall, 3-4 MAC Commonwealth) was not able to get past Widener (10-6 Overall, 5-2 MAC Commonwealth) in the first quarter. At 12:36 in the second quarter
Veronica Venezia put one goal in the back of the cage, followed by a man-down goal from
Emily Beard at 10:00. The Pride responded with another goal, but
Sydney Zimmerman and
Erin Zieber each responded with a goal to take a 4-3 lead. Widener responded with two more goals to take the 5-4 lead at half-time. The Pride held LVC scoreless in the second half of the match up and put away nine goals to finalize the 14-4 defeat.
Inside the Box Score
- Venezia topped points on the evening for LVC tallying two points off a goal and an assist.
- Beard, Zieber, and Zimmerman each put away a goal in the contest. Zieber also picked three ground balls and Zimmerman tallied two ground balls.
- Brittany Hathaway snatched five draw controls, dished out an assist, and grabbed two ground balls.
- On defense, Gabby Boyer, Jenna Kleissler, and Hana Neff each scooped up three ground balls. Neff also caused two turnovers.
- LVC went a perfect 10-10 on clears in the contest, consisting of a 5-5 in the first quarter, 2-2 in the second, 2-2 in the third, and a 1-1 in the fourth.

The Dutchmen will travel to Reading, Pa. for their final regular season match up to face Alvernia University. First draw is slated for 1:00 p.m.
