GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's tennis team won the regular season championship and clinched the top seed in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Tournament with a 9-0 victory at Messiah University on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchmen (11-4, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth) swept their fifth match of the spring and won their eighth straight. The Dutchmen have been dominating in conference play going 32-4 in singles play and undefeated in doubles.
Inside the Box Score
- Jacquelyn McBride and Nicole Honrade won 8-0 at number one doubles. Meredith Haas and Madison Poladian were 8-3 winners at number two doubles. Sarah Kramer and Eliana Shenk won their number three doubles match 8-6.
- The Dutchmen have not lost a single match in doubles during their winning streak.
- Five of the six singles matches were won in two sets. McBride won at number one singles 6-1, 6-0. She is 4-2 in conference play and has won two in a row.
- Honrade was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number two. She has won her last seven singles matches.
- Haas won her number three singles match 6-2, 6-1 to improve to 9-5 overall and 5-0 in conference with her seventh straight win.
- Kramer won 6-2, 6-3 at number four singles. She is now 4-1 in conference matches and has won her last four singles matches.
- Poladian was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at number five singles to win her fifth straight.
- Shenk won her ninth straight with a three-set victory at number six singles. She lost a first set tiebreaker and then won 6-4 and 10-3 in the final two sets.
- The Dutchmen have now swept Messiah in back-to-back years after losing twice to the Falcons in 2019.

LVC heads to Gettysburg on Wednesday before closing out the regular season on Saturday with a match against Hood College at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
