ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team fell to the Mustangs of Stevenson University 16-10 on Wednesday evening.
Veronica Venezia and
Brittany Hathaway each had four-point games, and five other Dutchmen scored.
Lebanon Valley (7-7 Overall, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) was late to get on the board, as Stevenson (9-5, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth) scored twice in the first five minutes of the contest to take the 2-0 lead. Four Dutchmen then responded to Stevenson with goals, and held the Mustangs to only tallying one additional goal in the first quarter. In the second quarter, it was a back-and-forth battle between LVC and the Mustangs, but Stevenson took the lead going into half-time 8-6.
Emily Beard opened scoring for the third quarter off an assist from Hathaway, but Stevenson responded with five goals. Despite a Venezia hat trick in the fourth quarter, the Mustangs added three more goals to finalize 16-10 defeat.

- Venezia and Hathaway both had four points on the evening. Venezia put away a hat trick and dished out an assist, while Hathaway netted one goal and handed out three assists.
- Julia Gabriel had a strong game on the attack and defensive end for LVC. The senior midfielder had two goals and an assist, while causing three turnovers and picking up three ground balls. Gabriel also played as a strong asset on the draw, tallying six draw controls.
- Bailey Dills, Erin Zieber, Sydney Zimmerman, and Beard each put away one goal in the contest. Zieber also picked up four draw controls and tallied an assist.
- Hana Neff played strong on the LVC defense, causing two turnovers, and picking up three ground balls.
- Julia Abendschoen and Shelby Guinard spent time in goal for the Dutchmen, making a combination of 16 saves.
Who's Next
The Dutchmen will stay at home to host the Falcons of Messiah University on Saturday morning, as they celebrate their three seniors. First draw is slated for 11:00 a.m.
