FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team had six different goal scorers in the second half as the Dutchmen fought back valiantly from a 6-1 halftime deficit in a 14-10 defeat at University of Mary Washington on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles (4-1) scored the first six goals of the game before
Veronica Venezia struck the back of the net with 1:01 left in the second quarter. LVC (1-4) turned up the intensity in the second half and outscored the Eagles 9-8 including 5-3 in the fourth quarter.

- Venezia recorded the 25th hat trick of her career scoring three goals and adding an assist for four points. The forward is having an outstanding year with 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists in five games. She is poised to move up to second in the program's record books for career points.
- Emily Beard scored two goals on two shots to give her eight on the season. It is her third multi-goal game of the year.
- Brittany Hathaway also had two goals and won four draw controls. She leads the team in both categories this spring. The senior scored her 100th career goal with 39 seconds left in the game.
- Julia Gabriel, Sydney Zimmerman, and Bailey Dills all had two points on one goal and one assist each. Gabriel also won four draw controls.
- The Dutchmen were a perfect 10-for-10 on clear attempts in the game.
- Julia Abendschoen made 14 saves in goal.
