ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley junior
Collin Jones was selected to the All-MAC Commonwealth men's basketball team as a first team honoree with the release of the conference awards by the Middle Atlantic Conference office on Wednesday.
Jones earns his second consecutive appearance on the first team after finishing the year second in the conference with 21.5 points per game and atop the Commonwealth with 8.8 rebounds per game. The forward totaled 494 points and 202 rebounds in 23 games, recorded a conference-most 11 double-doubles and scored at least 25 points in a game five times. He added 23 assists, 27 steals, and eight blocks while shooting an impressive 52.8% from the field. He was fourth in the conference in shooting percentage, first in free throw attempted at 143 and second in made free throws with 105. The junior scored his 1,000th career point to cap a huge second half in a 73-65 victory at York in the MAC Commonwealth Play-In game. Jones scored a career-high 32 points to lead LVC to an 82-66 victory over Muhlenberg back on November 13 on the second day of the Rinso Marquette Invitational and had a career-high 17 rebounds in a tough 84-82 double overtime loss to Alvernia on February 9.
