KINGSTON, Pa. – Nicole Honrade and Eliana Shenk were the lone single winners for the Lebanon Valley College women's tennis squad in a tight 5-4 loss at Wilkes University in the spring opener. Both women also won their doubles matches in a match played indoors at the TK Academy in Kingston.
 
The Dutchmen won two of the three doubles matches but Wilkes won four of the six singles flights to win 5-4.
 
Inside the Numbers

• Honrade teamed with Jacquelyn McBride to win at #1 Doubles by a score of 8-2. She then won her #2 singles match 6-2, 6-1 over Zoe Klein.
• Shenk teamed with Madison Poladian at #3 doubles to win 8-4. She then won her #6 singles match 7-5, 6-4 over Abby Bielecki.
• McBride played Dasha Yakhnis tough at #1 singles falling 6-3, 6-7, 10-8 in three sets.

 
Who's Next
LVC will be off until March 19 when they host Ursinus College at 1 p.m. in their spring home opener at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
