YORK, Pa. – Lebanon Valley Junior
Daelyn Stabler recorded her third career double-double to lead the sixth-seeded women's basketball squad in a tough 50-44 loss to third-seeded York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Quarterfinals.
The Dutchmen played the Spartans incredibly close all game holding the largest lead of the game of seven points. LVC held a 24-22 lead at the half in a defensive battle. York outscored the Dutchmen 28-20 in the second half to advance to Friday's semifinals.
Inside the Numbers
- Stabler had her 11th game this year scoring in double figures while pulling down a season-high 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the year.
- Samya Santiague was the second Dutchman in double figures with 10 points. Kennedy Kuffa added eight points and eight rebounds.
- The Dutchmen assisted on 11 of their 19 field goals and held a 37-35 rebounding advantage.
- LVC blocked six shots, their fourth-most in a game this season. Cristina Fernandez had four of the blocks while Stabler had the other two.
Who's Next
Lebanon Valley's season comes to an end with an 11-15 record. The 11 wins are the most in a season since 2018-19 when the Dutchmen went 14-13.
