YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley swimming teams are competing at Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at the York Aquatic Center from Feb 10-12.
 
Cayla Sydow is LVC's top finisher so far with a fifth-place performance in the 400 IM on Friday.

In the team results, the LVC women placed tenth, and the LVC men finished in 12th place overall.
 
Additional individual and relay results and highlights are listed below. 
 
Day 1 Highlights & Results

• Three swimmers advanced to the 50 free finals. Sierra Young (11), Jordyn Grossman (16), and Emily Beard (22).
• The 200 medley relay teams finished in the top 12. The women's team of Cayla Sydow, Emily Beard, Sierra Young, and Jordyn Grossman placed ninth. The men's team of David Palmer, Dain Vallie, Justin Kopp, and Isaac Dimisa placed eleventh.

Day 2 Highlights & Results

• Cayla Sydow advanced to the A finals and finished fifth overall in the 400 IM.
• Dain Vallie turned in an 11th-place performance in the 200 free.
• In the 100 fly, Sierra Young placed 16th in the women's event and Justin Kopp was 19th in the men's race.
• The 200 free relay results included the women's group of Karli Averill, Rachel King, Jordyn Grossman, and Young in tenth, and the men's group of David Palmer, Isaac Dimisa, Vallie, and Kopp in thirteenth.
• In the 400 medley relay, Joseph Beidler, Palmer, Kopp, and Vallie swam to a tenth-place finish, while Averill, Sydow, Young, and Grossman came in twelfth.

Day 3 Highlights & Results

• Cayla Sydow (12) and David Palmer (22) competed in the finals of the 100 backstroke.
• Courtney Betsock placed 15th in the 100 breaststroke.
• In the men's 800 free relay, Jacob Marsh, Joe Beidler, Jake Beidler, and Andrew Benson placed 13th.
• In the women's 800 free relay, Jillian Frenick, Karli Averill, Sydow, and Betsock placed tenth.

Day 4 Highlights & Results

• Dain Vallie swam to a 20th-place finish in the 1650 free.
• In the women's 100 free, Sierra Young finished 12th and Jordyn Grossman placed 24th.
• Cayla Sydow finished in 14th in the women's 200 backstroke, while David Palmer placed 20th in the men's event.
• Courtney Betstock placed 15th in the women's 200 breaststroke, and Jake Beidler placed 24th in the men's race.
• In the men's 400 free relay, Isaac Dimisa, Justin Kopp, Vallie, and Palmer finished in 12th place. A second team of Derek Sauder, Andrew Benson, Joe Beidler, and Noah Miccio placed 26th.
• In the women's 400 free relay, Karli Averill, Sydow, Betsock, and Young finished 11th.
