ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley men's basketball standout Collin Jones was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) Player of the Week on Monday in a release by the conference office.
 
Jones led the Dutchmen to two comeback victories and a 2-0 week in conference play. The forward averaged 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in wins at York and over defending conference champion Hood. Jones had 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists in a 74-67 victory at York to begin the week in which the Dutchmen outscored the Spartans 43-25 in the second and rallied from a 14-point deficit in the final 10 minutes. Jones was a key component in the rally with four points, three assists, two rebounds, and one steal during the final 10 minutes. Jones then manufactured another second half comeback on Saturday as LVC outscored Hood by 11 in the second half to defeat the Blazers 75-71. Jones was once again a big reason for the victory with 20 of his game-high 24 points and 10 of his game-high 16 rebounds in the last 20 minutes. The Blazers led by as many as 14 in the second half and were up by 11 with 8:23 left before Jones scored or assisted on six of the next nine points to bring the Dutchmen within two with five to play.
 
The weekly award is the fifth for Jones in his career and first this season. He becomes the second Dutchmen to be named the Player of the Week this year after Payton Lewis was honored a few weeks ago prior to Thanksgiving.
 
The Dutchmen will be back in action on Saturday with a road game at Gwynedd Mercy. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Gwynedd Valley.
