LEWISBURG, Pa. – Kegan Hertz and
Collin Jones both scored in double figures for the Lebanon Valley men's basketball team in an exhibition game at Division I Bucknell. The Bison, who were playing their season opener shot 60-percent from the field and knocked down 21 three-pointers to win 113-52.
The Dutchmen got off to a great start in the game scoring the first eight points as Jones hit a jumper and a three-pointer from the top of the key before Hertz knocked down a three from the left side. The Bison would fight back to cut the lead to 10-9 at the first media timeout. LVC kept it close as Bucknell built a 20-16 lead going into the second media timeout.
The Bison came out of the timeout on fire hitting three after three-pointer to build a 50-26 halftime lead. In the second half Bucknell continued the hot-shooting making 12 threes and shot 66.67 percent from the field.
Inside the Box Score
- Hertz finished with 18 points while Jones had 10 points and six rebounds.
- Payton Lewis added seven points while Jevon Griffin had five.
- Kyle Tang recorded four points and five rebounds while dishing out seven assists.
- LVC had 22 points in the paint against the much taller Bison while recording eight points off 10 turnovers.

Lebanon Valley will open the regular season on Friday hosting the Rinso Marquette Tournament. Neumann University and New Jersey City University will play at 6 p.m. in the first game before the Dutchmen take on Delaware Valley University.
