ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior goalie
Shelby Guinard had a fantastic game in goal, making a season-high 48 saves at fifth-ranked Nazareth College on Friday evening at Bill Gray's Iceplex in Rochester. The host Golden Flyers scored a pair of power-play goals in the second period to defeat the Dutchmen 4-0.
Nazareth (5-0-0) scored in the opening minute of the game on an unassisted goal. The Dutchmen responded to the early goal with strong defense and great goaltending from Guinard, holding the Flyers off the board for the rest of the period and the first 14 minutes of the second period. Nazareth increased their lead to 3-0 with two power-play goals in the final six minutes of the second period. The Flyers added a fourth goal at the 10:20 mark of the third period. LVC played the highly-ranked Golden Flyers tough all game holding Nazareth to their lowest goal total all season.

- Guinard had another excellent game in goal against the Flyers with a season-high 48 saves. The senior made a career-high 54 saves last winter in the UCHC Quarterfinals in Rochester.
- Katrina Strauts had a team-high five shots on goal and won four faceoffs on eight attempts.
- Katie Pounder won a team-high 11 faceoffs while Tiffany Anderson won seven.
- The Dutchmen blocked nine shots.
- LVC was successful on seven of nine penalty kills.
