ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's basketball team walked with a 76-47 win over Penn State Hazleton in the consolation game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
Lebanon Valley (1-2-0) was the first to get on the board with a jumper from
Daelyn Stabler with 8:54 remaining in the first quarter. The Dutchmen pushed their lead to 10 points, leading 18-6 with 3:16 on the clock. The Nittany Lions then put up two free throws to close it to an eight-point lead, with LVC winning 16-8 going into the second quarter. LVC opened scoring in the second quarter and notched a 14-point lead with 3:46 remaining in the quarter. Despite efforts from the Nittany Lions, the Dutchmen pushed their lead to 16 points, and walked into halftime 34-18. LVC came out hot in the third quarter and notched a 24-point lead, going into the fourth quarter 56-32. In the fourth quarter, LVC set the largest point gap in the contest with a 32-point lead with 1:13 left on the clock. Lebanon Valley 20 points in the fourth quarter to slot the 76-47 victory.
Inside the Box
- Kate Fitzpatrick led the points category for the Dutchmen with 14. The Junior also tallied three rebounds and two steals
- Samya Santiague put up 10 points on the afternoon for LVC. Jordan Zimmerman followed with nine points and tallied five rebounds.
- Stabler was a huge contributor offensively and defensively putting up eight points, while grabbing eight rebounds, two steals, and a block. Cassie Eager also notched eight points and picked up three rebounds.
- Riley Hevelow and Christina Fernandez each put up six baskets and six assists. Fernandez also picked up a career-high of 11 rebounds and tallied two steals on the afternoon
- LVC slotted 30 points in the paint, 16 fast break points, and 15 second chance points in the contest.

The Dutchmen will travel to Selinsgrove, Pa. to face Susquehanna University on Wednesday evening for a non-conference matchup. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
