ANNVILLE, Pa. – Zach Reed and
Aaron Weitzel scored goals for the Lebanon Valley College men's soccer team on Wednesday afternoon as the Dutchmen fought their way to a 2-2 tie with visiting Alvernia University in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) action.
The Golden Wolves (7-1-4, 1-0-1 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board early with a goal off the first corner kick of the game in the second minute. LVC (6-5-1, 1-0-1 MAC Commonwealth) fought back and got the equalizer they were looking for in the 28th minute as Reed scooped up a loose ball off a failed clear following a Dutchmen corner kick and found the lower left corner of the goal. The Dutchmen pressed the Golden Wolves the rest of the half looking for the lead but were unable to change the scoreboard.
In the second half both teams battled trading blows at goal with both teams' keepers standing tall. Alvernia retook the lead in the 82nd minute on a goal by Connor Kraycik. The Dutchmen struck right back less than a minute later as
Aaron Weitzel sent a laser into the back of the net following a cross from
Nathan Prex.

- Reed scored for the second consecutive game and his third goal of the year. He now has nine career goals for the Dutchmen.
- Weitzel's game-tying goal was hi team-leading fifth of the season and 11th of his career.
- Prex recorded his team-leading fifth assist of the season and has now recorded a point in four of the last five games.
- Dalton Fitterling made a career-high 10 saves including a huge stop on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. The junior faced a season-high 27 shots.
