ANNVILLE, Pa. – Widener held off a hard-charging Lebanon Valley women's basketball squad, 66-60, in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth game at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Sunday, Jan. 30.

After trailing 36-24 at halftime, LVC cranked up the defensive intensity and
Kennedy Kuffa's hot hand pulled the Dutchmen within two at 46-44 in the closing minutes of the third. Kuffa scored 11 of her game-high 23 in the quarter.

Widener ran the lead to 54-44 early in the fourth, but LVC stormed back, closing to 58-55 with 3:20 to play on a three-pointer by Christina Fernandez. Widener's Erin Phelan, who scored her 1,000th career point in the game, answered with a layup and pair of free throws to put the Pride up 62-55.

For the Dutchmen,
Kate Fitzpatrick finished with 14 points, keeping her double-digit point streak alive at seven games.

Inside the Numbers
- Kuffa finished two points shy of her career-best, 25. She added 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double this season.
- LVC wore pink warmup shirts as part of their annual Pink Game tradition that supports breast cancer research.
- The Dutchmen's 32 three-point attempts are the most in school history.Â
