PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Five players scored in a balanced offensive attack to lead LVC women's ice hockey to a 5-2 victory over Chatham on Saturday, Jan. 22 in United Collegiate Hockey Conference play.
Victoria Scurto keyed the hot start for LVC, feeding
Alexis Oukes for a first period goal and then
Jess Dawe less than two minutes into the second to stake the Dutchmen to an early 2-0 advantage.
After Chatham sliced into the lead,
Brenna Mulcahy delivered just before the end of the second to restore the two-goal margin.
Chloe Glass and
Sophie Trentini registered assists on the goal.
Chatham trimmed the lead to 3-2 midway through the third period before LVC added insurance goals from Trentini (a short-handed score) and
Abby Radcliffe.
Shelby Guinard tied her career-high with 54 saves to pick up her fifth win of the season between the pipes.

- Oukes has scored both goals on the power play this year.
- Radcliffe extends her point streak to three consecutive games and continues to climb LVC's single-season and career records.
- With 94 games played, Glass has taken the ice in blue and white more than any other player in history.
