ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Women's Tennis picked up their third straight victory with an 8-1 win over Stevenson in MAC Commonwealth play. The Dutchmen improve to 7-1, 4-1 MACC while Stevenson falls to 3-5, 3-2. With today's win, LVC clinches the #2 seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
The Dutchmen started the day off with three doubles wins to hold a commanding 3-0 lead headed into the singles matches. At #1 doubles,
Nicole Honrade and
Jacquelyn McBride won in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-5).
Meredith Haas and
Madison Poladian picked up an 8-3 victory at #2 doubles while the duo of
Zoe Birch and
Emily Wilczek took care of business at #3 doubles 8-1.
In singles play, Poladian and Wilczek each picked up 6-0, 6-0 sweeps at #4 and #5 singles respectively. At #2 singles, McBride was dominant with a 6-1, 6-0 win as well as Haas at #3 singles as she won 6-1, 6-1. At #6 singles, Birch picked up the final win for LVC 7-5, 6-1 to wrap up the team victory.
