FREDERICK, Md. – Lebanon Valley's Women's Tennis ended their regular season with a 7-2 victory over Hood College on Saturday afternoon. LVC finished the regular season with an 8-1, 5-1 MACC record while the Blazers fall to 2-7, 1-5 MACC.
The Dutchmen picked up all three wins in doubles play. The #1 doubles duo of
Jacquelyn McBride and
Meredith Haas won in a tiebreaker 8-7 (10-3). LVC won #3 doubles by default and also picked up an 8-3 victory in #2 doubles from the duo of
Madison Poladian and
Meridyth Sanders.
In singles play, LVC took four of the six matches including one by default. A close match in #3 singles was won by
Emily Wilczek as she edged her opponent 7-5, 6-1.
Meridyth Sanders and
Zoe Birch each picked up straight-set wins while only surrendering one game per match. Sanders took #4 singles 6-0, 6-1 while Birch won 6-1, 6-0 at #5 singles.
