ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team stayed hot with another 8-1 win, this time over Alvernia University, on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen stay unbeaten as they improve to 4-0, 1-0 MACC while Alvernia drops to 2-4, 2-1 MACC.s
In double play, LVC swept the Golden Wolves in all three matches. The #1 duo of
Nicole Honrade and
Jacquelyn McBride grabbed the 8-3 victory to start the day.
Madison Poladian and
Meredith Haas picked up an 8-2 win at the second doubles slot at #3 doubles,
Zoe Birch and
Meridyth Sanders cruised to an 8-1 win.
The Dutchmen took five of the six singles matches sweeping the #2 through #6 matches. McBride won a pair of sets 6-0, 6-1 followed up by Haas who took care of #3 singles 6-0, 6-2. At #4 singles, Poladian won in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 and Sanders won 7-5, 6-1 at #6 singles.
Emily Wilczek at #5 singles played the most intense match of the day, winning in three sets after dropping the first, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
