ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Women's Tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory on the Dutchmen's 2021 home opener vs. Lycoming on Saturday afternoon. LVC, who didn't drop a single set this afternoon, stayed perfect and moved to 2-0, while the Warriors fell to 0-2.
The Dutchmen's dominant day began with doubles, where LVC's three teams combined to lose just one game out of three matches. At No. 1 doubles,
Nicole Honrade and
Jacquelyn McBride won 8-0, followed by
Meredith Haas and
Madison Poladian's 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Finally, at No. 3 doubles,
Meridyth Sanders and
Zoe Birch blanked Emily Wolfgang and Haley Seebold 8-0.
LVC cruised in singles action, as Honrade won 6-2, 6-0 over Mia Shuler in No. 1 singles. At No. 2, McBride won easily at 6-2, 6-0, while Haas took down Heller 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Poladian eased to a 6-0, 6-2 win at the No. 4 spot, while
Emily Wilczek won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 5 and Sanders earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at the No. 6 position.
The Dutchmen return to action on Thursday, April 1 at Misericordia at 3 p.m.
