How It Happened
READING, Pa. – Lebanon Valley outscored Alvernia 13-2 in the first half en route to a dominant 19-7 victory over the Golden Wolves on Saturday morning in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse action.The Flying Dutchmen improved to 4-2, 2-1 MACC, while Alvernia slipped to 2-3, 1-2 MACC.

After the two teams trade goals in the opening five and a half minutes of action, LVC scored 10 consecutive goals to take a commanding 11-1 lead. During the decisive spurt,
Brittany Hathaway began things with a goal from
Veronica Venezia, followed by a
Jaclyn Little tally then two straight from Venezia. At 17:30,
Sydney Zimmerman got in on the action to make it 6-1, followed by
Erin Zieber's goal from Venezia at 16:35.
Bailey Dills the netted two straight, followed by
Veronica John's fifth of the year and Venezia's 14th of the season that capped the run.

The Golden Wolves' Haleigh Lackner stopped the bleeding momentarily, but Venezia netted an up-goal and Little finished off the half with a goal at 2:15 from Venezia, giving LVC a 13-2 lead at halftime.

Alvernia began the second half with three straight goals to come to within eight at 13-5 with 24:43 remaining in the second, but Hathaway answered with a goal, followed by John's goal from Venezia that made it 15-5. Then, at 22:00,
Emily Beard scored her seventh of the year and first of the game and Little netted an unassisted goal at 19:46 to make it a 17-5 game and put the contest out of reach.

Inside the Numbers
 - Venezia stuffed the stat sheet for the second consecutive game. She scored a game-high four goals and added a game-high seven assists for 11 points.
 - Dills and Little each netted a hat trick for LVC.
 - Zimmerman, John, Hathaway, and Beard scored two goals apiece. Hathaway added two caused turnovers and controlled a team-high six draw controls.
 -
Julia Abendschoen scooped up three ground balls and made 11 saves between the pipes to earn the win.
 - The Dutchmen led in shots (33-20) and shots on goal (28-18).
 - LVC went 13-for-15 in clears and Alvernia went 10-for-14.

LVC briefly jumps out of conference action on Thursday, April 1, when the Dutchmen host Stevens at 4 p.m. on Arnold Field.
