READING, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team returned to the court in dominating fashion with a 7-2 win over Alvernia on Saturday afternoon. LVC took two of three doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play. The Dutchmen move to 1-0 while Alvernia falls to 0-1.
In doubles play, the duo of
Nicole Honrade and
Jacquelyn McBride took care of business with an 8-4 victory at the number one doubles position. LVC wasn't done there as the #2 doubles team of
Madison Poladian and
Meredith Haas picked up an 8-5 victory.
In singles, the Dutchmen took five of the six matches, including the top three positions for LVC picking up wins. McBride had arguably the most impressive win as she completed a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at #2 singles. Honrade and Meridtyh Sanders each picked up wins in tie-breakers at #1 and #5 singles respectively. Haas and
Zoe Birch also grabbed wins for the Dutchmen.
