Stevenson 3, Lebanon Valley 0
How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team dropped a 3-0 contest at the hands of the Stevenson Mustangs on Saturday night.
The Mustangs didn't waste much time to get ahead with a goal just 2:40 into the contest. Paige Sullivan backhanded a shot from the left side of the goal that squeezed its way into the back of the net to put LVC in an early 1-0 hole. After that score, both defenses would hold the other offense at bay with neither squad able to muster a goal for the remainder of the first and the entire second period.
After a majority of the third period was played scoreless and Stevenson still holding a slim 1-0 lead. With 5:26 left in regulation, Ally Gibson would break away from the Dutchmen defense and finish the play with a perfectly placed shot in the left side of the net to double the Mustang lead. Stevenson would add another tally just 47 seconds later to put away LVC 3-0.
